Over the past half year I have taken to loving these fabulous chocolate chip cookies that are baked just long enough to be simply perfect. They are very easy to make and it doesn’t take long to bake (12 minutes to be exact). Anyways, here is the recipe that I’ve been playing with.
½ cup of soft butter
2 cups of brown or golden yellow sugar (I find the golden yellow sugar gives a chewier taste than the brown sugar.)
1 teaspoon of vanilla
About 1 cup flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 cup of chocolate chip cookies (you can also use 80% cocoa chocolate but broken up in small pieces.)
Touch of salt
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine the butter and sugar until creamy in a mixing bowl. Now add the egg and the vanilla until everything is combined. In another bowl combine all the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt.)
Next slowly add the dry ingredients into the butter/sugar bowl mixture. Make sure you don’t over combine everything otherwise the mixture will become too liquidly.
Take out two baking sheets and butter the pans so the cookies won’t stick. Scoop out a ball of dough and place on the cookie sheet. Make sure there not too big or too small! Keep some space between each cookie. You should be able to get 12 cookies per sheet and 24 in total.
Bake for 12 minutes! Exactly 12 minutes!
