Homemade noodles and sauce

With such a beautiful day outside I had no desire to go to the grocery store and pick up some food to eat. It would be such a waste! So, I checked to see what I had, and noticed I had everything to make homemade macaroni and cheese except I had no noodles! Well no problem! Luckily for me, I was able to get a simple recipe from mi madre on how to make your very own noodles! Best of all, it is very easy!

Here is the recipe on how to make those wonderful noodles and the sauce to go with it.



1 cup milk
1 cup cheese
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp flour
Salt and Pepper


Melt butter and stir in flour. Cook over low heat for 3 or 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Slowly stir in milk and salt and pepper. Add grated cheese. Cook, stirring, until sauce has thicken.


Home made Hungarian noodles

2 cups flour
1/2 cup of water (for mixing)
2 eggs
Pinch of salt


Place a pot of water on the stove to boil. Pour flour in a mixing pot, and create a Well. Pour a bit of water into the well, and the eggs (cracked them open!). Start mixing the everything together with a spoon, and add additional water every so often or when needed. Once everything is combined and sticky start to cut the dough into small pieces and add it to the pot. Let noodles cook until they float to the top
