Pasta with garlic sauce

Difficulty: Easy

Who’s to say that garlic is only good at keeping the vampires away? A quick easy meal (around 20 minutes of preparation) is Pasta with garlic sauce. It is rich, and bound to impress anyone you serve it to.


1 pound spaghetti
½ cup butter
½ cup olive oil
5 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
Salt and pepper
Dash of oregano
1 cup fresh grated Romano cheese


Cook pasta according to the directions on the box. Drain well. Melt butter in a heavy skillet (pan). Add oil and heat. Sauté (Brown) garlic until slightly browned. Stir in parsley, basil, and walnuts. Add salt and pepper to taste, and oregano. Mix well. Add the spaghetti to the skillet and blend with the garlic sauce, mixing well. Sprinkle the Romano cheese on top before serving.
